International Website Development Contest: A Glimpse into the Digital Future

The College of the International Academy of Business hosted a large‑scale website‑development contest that brought together student teams from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Uzbekistan. The event aimed to popularize IT skills, spark students’ creativity, and strengthen international cooperation in information technology.

Participants and Teams

Each team presented an original project—ranging from interactive educational platforms to websites for online events—demonstrating a high level of proficiency with modern web‑development tools and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

Contest Format

The competition unfolded in several stages:

1. Concept Phase: Teams received the brief and formulated their site concept.
2. Development Phase: Students handled design, layout, and coding of core modules.
3. Final Presentations: Completed projects were showcased to an expert jury made up of faculty specialists and industry IT professionals.

Evaluation Criteria

The jury assessed projects on five key factors:

• User‑interface convenience and visual appeal.
• Technical implementation and code quality.
• Innovative approach and creativity.
• Responsiveness and loading speed across devices
• Alignment with end‑user needs.

Results and Prospects

The jury praised the overall high standard of the entries. The contest offered a valuable platform for exchanging ideas and forging professional connections. Industry partners in attendance emphasized that such initiatives give young talent a powerful springboard into the IT business world.
